Summary: Your notebooks and quick notes stay on your device. We only collect what's necessary to provide our service, and we never sell your data.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address - Used for account login and important notifications
- Authentication data - If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive a unique identifier and your email
Content You Create
- Notebooks and Quick Notes - Stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this content.
- iCloud Backup - If you enable iCloud backup (Pro feature), your notes are stored in your personal iCloud account, not on our servers.
- Feed Posts - Photos, videos, and text you choose to share publicly are stored on our servers.
Purchase Information
When you make a purchase, Apple processes the transaction. We receive a confirmation of your purchase status but do not have access to your payment details.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the ClayDay service
- To process your purchases and manage your subscription status
- To display content you choose to share publicly
- To send important service-related notifications
- To respond to your support requests
3. Data Storage and Security
Local Data: Your notebooks and quick notes are stored locally on your device using SQLite database. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable iCloud backup or export it.
Cloud Data: Account information and publicly shared content are stored securely on Supabase servers with encryption in transit and at rest.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only in the following circumstances:
- With your consent
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect our rights and safety
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Export your local data using the backup feature
To delete your account, go to Settings > Delete Account in the app.
6. Children's Privacy
ClayDay is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
